Mrs Hattie Ann Chrismore 58 wife of James Chrismore of 120 East Gerrard street died shortly before midnight after a severe heart attack. Native of Winchester she leaves a daughter Katherine Artrip of Washington DC two sons Earl of Altoona PA and Douglas of this city two sisters Irene and Molly Chrismore of Santa Anna California and a nephew Thomas O Leary who lived with the family. Funeral at 2 30 Sunday from the Gerrard street home with Rev E A Lambert and Mount Hebron Cemetery burial. Pallbearers named Fred Fuggit Harvey Hawkins Edward Grim Carl O Leary Charles Brannon and Walter Whitacre.

Man 31 Ends Life With Shotgun in Garage
Rodney H. Carper, a Virginia Woolen Mills worker, was found dead in a garage at 18 North Kent Street. A single shotgun blast destroyed the top of his head. coroner ruled death a self-inflicted gunshot. Carper had been under mental treatment, had threatened self harm previously, and planned his death with deliberate steps. Judge Edmund Waddill of the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals died at his Richmond home after a lengthy illness.
