Mrs Elizabeth Moore Reid widow of Esl PD Reid and longtime Georgetown resident died at her home 3122 N A street northwest Georgetown at noon. She was 87 and had lived in Georgetown seventy years. Funeral services were held at the residence at 3 PM with Revs Henry Anstadt Charles H Butler and N J Gould Wickey officiating. Interment was private at Oak Hill Cemetery. She was the youngest daughter of Capt John Moore of Loudoun County Virginia and early in life moved to Washington. She attended finishing schools and helped form St Pauls Lutheran Church later attended by President Polk.

British Army Seizes 9,000 Prisoners in Arras Lens Action
