Four Negro Bandits Fire On Easton Banker
Samuel Hambleton, 35, assistant cashier of the Farmers and Merchants Bank at Easton, Md., was attacked by four armed Negro bandits on Easton streets. He was shot in the right arm and side and taken to Emergency Hospital. Sheriff W. W. Hopkins led a posse searching Easton and nearby areas for the suspects, who appeared to believe Hambleton carried a large sum of money. He survived after seeking aid at the Hotel Avon lobby. The search continued with no trace found after about an hour.
