Winchester Athletics Admits Preachers At Weekly Meeting
Forty members of the Winchester Athletic Club attended the latest weekly session. The meeting featured the best athletic program yet with exhibitions on parallel bars boxing tumbling and wrestling events. The club voted to place every city minister on the honorary rolls and elected several new active members bringing the total to fifty seven. The Ford contest committee reported favorable progress and thanks were extended to supporters for the Grafona prize from Seal's music store. The program included Wilbur Cather on parallel bars a boxing match between Copenhaver and Shryock tumbling acts by Seal and Brown a wrestling match between Robinson and Funk a running high jump and a championship boxing match between Barton and Taylor.

Mr Bruyn Civil War Veteran Dies In Winchester
Mr Wilson Bruyn a Winchester resident and Civil War veteran died suddenly at 10 last night at his sister in law’s home on Fairmont avenue. A New York native, he served as a lieutenant under Gen Sheridan and spent time at headquarters near Braddock and Piccadilly streets. He married Henrietta Stine, survived by memories of service and business in Dewarkill and Newburg.
