Tragic Death of Roy Lake Near Welltown
Thirteen year old Roy F Lake was found dead in the Lake farm barn near Welltown after a suspected hanging from an overhead beam. Authorities believe death may be from self harm or accident but no conclusive cause is stated, with family and sheriff awaiting inquest. Roy told his teacher he would not return to school on Friday and had recently suffered injuries from a cow incident and influenza. Funeral is set for noon tomorrow at Paxton Chapel with burial at Wisecarver cemetery.

Charles G. Adams, a respected farmer from the western county, died at 1 o clock yesterday morning at his son R W Adams home near Hayfield. He suffered heart trouble that progressed to dropsy. His wife Annie Catherine DeHaven had died on Christmas day. Surviving are Swilchbaker Adams, Hayfield A A Adams Chambersville and Mrs Grace Herbst Winchester. Funeral at Pentecostal Church in the Gap at 2 pm tomorrow, Rev Luther McFarland presiding. Interment Mt Olive Cemetery.
