Wet' s issue fades in Wimberley petition drive
Dave Lewis failed to gather 933 signatures to place a wet area vote before Wimberley residents. He noted strong interest but insufficient valid signatures under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code. The effort targeted County Precinct 3 with petitions at local spots and a voter table in area precincts 335 and 337. If approved, the measure would have allowed local alcohol sales pending a public vote.
