FEMA responds to Hays County insurance map dispute
The U S Department of Justice on behalf of FEMA filed a response in U S District Court on April 22 in a dispute over a reevaluation of the Federal Insurance Study and the latest FIRM. The county accuses the agency of inaction while the DOJ cites three main defenses including failure to exhaust remedies and lack of jurisdiction.
