Citizens weigh shifting Wimberley substation site plan
Wimberley area officials including Dr Charles Warlick and PEC assistant general manager Will Dahmann say relocation of the local substation could be pursued if conditions are met. Two new substations about two acres each would be built north and east or west of town to eliminate the 138000 volt line crossing. Each would connect to the 69000 volt line from Highway 32 and Dripping Springs while securing six feeder easements and access via county road and affected landowners consent.
