Queen Vashti Deposed After Refusing King Ahasuerus
Queen Vashti refuses to obey King Ahasuerus and is dethroned. An edict orders that all women honor their husbands, signaling a shift in Persian royal protocol as described in Esther 1. The passage also mentions baptismal and biblical excerpts, including Zechariah and Elizabeth, and notes Jerry Kingery’s Master of Divinity from 1967.
