Hays County forms new Economic Development Council
Hays County Eco nomic Development Council held its first board meeting at the Hays school district administration building. County Judge Eddy Etheredge announced a $100 donation from Pedernales Electric Coop and that Kelly Murphy of Ozona National Bank closed the $3,200 defunct Hays County Industrial Corp account and moved it to the EDC. Etheredge said the EDC’s existing bank account is at Kyle State Bank and he will fund an audit. Bill Couch named temporary chairman Fern Howze temporary secretary. Officers election set for April 14 with standing committees and by laws amended though Articles of Incorporation were delayed.
