Texas public schools face book shortfall and shared texts
The Texas Education Agency cites a 100 million funding gap in the two year book budget, leaving about 5 million for some districts to buy new texts. Seventh graders will share textbooks for two newly offered courses while other titles may reuse last year’s editions unless districts fund replacements.

Letters to the editor challenge maturity and opinion
A reader questions public discourse and accountability in Wimberley. The letter asks whether God has a butt, if free Americans should be insulted for opinions, and whether media messages harm youth. It questions responsibility, authority at Danforth, and signs of progress by WISD students and teachers.
