Commission seeks Road Administrator with 5 years’ experience

County commissioners held a workshop to draft a job description for the new Road Administrator post. The proposed salary ranged from 650 to 700 a week during the interim period, with a possible rise to as high as 37000 annually for an engineer. The description requires five years in road construction and supervisory roles plus five years in management, with preferences for risk and environmental management and a professional engineer or public administration master’s degree. Payne supported the unitary road system to maintain responsibility.
