Cemetery on a hill near St Marys reflects parish life and ministry
The article describes St Marys Catholic Cemetery with 200 lots in the northwest corner, a shrine altar built by Bill Hamby from honey comb rock, and a tile representation of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Under long time care by Mrs Olivia Dee, the cemetery now operates under a committee. The piece also details parish ministries, including Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Hospitality, Music, and Outreach programs like the Crisis Food Basket and the St Vincent de Paul Society, plus Retrouvaille and Landings programs. It notes youth ministry plans, including LIFE TEEN, and honors Diane Whitten for her work as Director of Religious Education.
