The Wimberley 11 and 12 year old All Stars placed third in a 12 team double elimination tourney, with standout pitching by Greg Williams and Jake Pendleton. Pendleton fanned 13 against Liberty Hills, Williams tossed six innings with many strikeouts, and David Raybuck delivered a clutch game winning single against Dripping Springs. The team rallied for comeback wins including a 16-3 rout of Ingram and a decisive 4-3 victory over Dripping Springs as fans packed Llano for support.

Wimberley resident Jane Lander joins Salvation Army to send aid boxes to the Midwest. About 200 empty boxes will be available at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection on Ranch Road 12 starting Sunday July 25. Filled boxes due July 31.
