Not Getting Better Since 1962 Says Letter to Editor
A reader argues the U.S. has declined since 1962 with rising birth rates among girls ages 10 to 14, surging sexually transmitted diseases in high schools, tripling divorce rates, more single-parent families, and increasing cohabitation. SAT scores drop for 18 years and violent crime outpacing population growth are cited, attributed to removal of religious principles from rulings. The letter quotes Founding Fathers on morality and religion.
