TEXDOT Transportation Program reviewed for Hays County
The Rural Transportation Improvement Program for 1995 97 includes seven projects in Hays County. Scoping meetings for public comment are planned this week as officials are urged to join a Bastrop delegation to meet area engineers from the Texas Department of Transportation Austin District. A July 14 Hays County Transportation Study Group meeting at the Hays School District Administration Building set priorities for TeXDOT. The group, formed in January to mirror a regional planning body, includes nine incorporated communities and was attended by many San Marcos advocates with representation from Kyle Uhland and Wimberley. County Judge Eddy Etheredge cited a petition by San Marcos residents seeking a railroad overpass. The city had passed a resolu tion.
