Property owners voice concerns over RR 12 expansion

Texas Department of Transportation representatives met with Ranch Road 12 frontage property owners in San Marcos Baptist Academy to discuss a four lane widening plan from San Marcos to the Blanco River Bridge and a one mile four lane section between Wimberley and Dripping Springs. Local owners including Miriam Eason and The Chaparral store’s Jean Williams voiced worries about traffic, noise, and loss of parking. Officials said start dates span 1994 to 1995 with two year construction blocks, and efforts aim to minimize impact by staying off property where possible including around the Mother Oak.
