Hays County acts to repair Records Building after hail and rain
Heavy rains last Wednesday exposed the damage from a spring hail storm at the Records Building. County commissioners authorized up to 30000 from reserves to fund repairs after ceilings collapsed and equipment risked destruction. Officials said total insurance payout to date was 43000, with expectations it should be about 140000, and discussions continued with the insurer.
