San Marcos considers aggressive annexation linked to water plans
The Citizens Advisory Committee presented a master plan for ETJ expansion surrounding Edwards Aquifer. The plan, not yet approved by the City Council, would extend to large western tracts to protect San Marcos Springs water quality. Public hearings run through September 26 with readings in October and November. Southwest Texas State University is noted as the largest landholder in the city.
