Cause of house fire determined
The investigation into the July 27 structure fire that destroyed the home of Daryl Watson and Ann Marie Gambino found the cause accidental and electrical. Fire Marshall A D Carroll said a lab test could confirm surge vs wiring but costs about 1000 dollars. The couple has received strong community support as they begin to rebuild.

County tests Cypress Creek for safe swimming status
Hays County health officials say Cypress Creek may be safe for swimming after preliminary tests found only one location with an elevated fecal coliform count.
