The April New Neighbors Club meeting is set for April 28 at the Gazebo in Cy press Fairway Village from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon with picnic dress. Also on April 28 New Neighbor Graduates will tour Fort Sam Houston, Pershing Home, Quadrangle and Chapel with lunch at the Officer's Club, meeting at 8:15 a.m. Call for reservations by April 25. Kindergarten registration for Scudder Primary School is May 6 starting 8:30 a.m. with screenings and immunizations offered by Hays County Health Department. bring records and birth certificates.

A historical marker is approved to honor Sidney J. Pyland and his 1895 blacksmith shop on Wim berley’s village square. The Pyland family, including Dr W J Pyland and Annie B Pyland, settled in East Texas for health, with Sidney later running the shop and forging horse shoes in the Hill Country town.

The Woodcreek City Council passed a posthumous honor for Jack Miller and accepted the resignation of City Treasurer Ben Williamson. Joann Cloninger was named the new treasurer. St Stephen's School hosts a PFO preview on April 23 in the parish hall from 7 to 8 30 pm with a $5 entry for bidding, wine and cheese, three surprise items, and live entertainment while raffle tickets at $2 support the scholarship fund. The auction on April 24 features items donated by locals and out of town donors with proceeds aiding tuition aid and the Village Library Endowment Fund.
