Fall bass bite drives fattening season on Wimberley lake
In this note from the Wimberley area, anglers report early fall bass feeding peaks, with Jack Oldham and the author catching twenty bass and many more released in shallow water. They recount gear like purple worms and small spinners, describe Lake Livingston near Haynes Marina and Kickapoo Creek, and mention the Capital Bass Club’s October 22nd Bass-O-Bee at Lake Livingston with prizes and registration at Onalaska facilities. The piece closes urging respect for local heritage and simple pleasures.
