Opinion polls of vendors and customers show Lions Market Days from the Square to Lions Field a successful solution. The flea market now accommodates over 100 vendors with on grounds parking paved walkways and adequate restrooms. The Lions pledge to expand for a bigger 1973 season with better facilities food and entertainment.
Calendar lists Lions Club dinners and meetings October 3 17 at the Dinner Bell VFW Auxilliary bookmobile Tri County events and Wimberley groups through October 26 with times locations and host names where given. Includes Market Day barbecue and club luncheons at Lions Field and Woodcreek Country Club.
US Representative J J Pickle said Congress may be asked to consider authorization of the Cloptin Crossing Dam near Wimberley before adjournment. He noted OMB approval and an Army Corps letter as the executive steps advancing the project.
