Wimberley pioneer honored with April 7 Opera House event

A.V. Leinneweber, 93, celebrated with family and friends at the VFW Hall and Opera House events in Wimberley. The narrative recalls his early life with Christopher Columbus Leinneweber, the move to Blanco River ranching, and the family today near Up the River Road with Lloyd, Carl, and Marcella Leinneweber attending Kyle High School.

Sharon Morris in National Art Show

Wimberley Water Supply Corporation organized in 1964

The Wimberley Water Supply Corporation formed in April 1964 with Raymond Czichos as Water Board president and members Chester Franklin Herrick Arnold Herbert Lennie and Bill Arendall. The co op serves Eagle Rock Ranch Fiieacres East Subdivision 7 A Ranch and Sabine Ranch with 247 subscribers. Bids for system construction expected within weeks and completion aimed for early summer 1966. Applications are being taken by Jack Payne at the Wimberley Development Company office on Square.
