Wimberley June 1968 Glows with Rain, Festivals, and Mill News
The Wimberley Mill community enjoys a lush June with twenty seven inches of rain since January, garden blooms, and bobwhite calls. The Fourth of July weekend builds with Market Day, White Elephant Sale, barbeque, bingo, Kiddie Karnival, live music, and a two day Trail Ride along the Presidential Ranch Trail. Charlie Haydon debuts with a piece on local history, and the mill family joins the Smithsonian and Texan Cultures festival in Washington, D.C., July 29, as C. W. Wimberley promotes Stone Milling and Whole Grain Cooking.
