Poll Reveals Statistics From Wimberley Survey
The Chamber report summarizes a Citizens Planning Committee survey of Wimberley residents. About 600 questionnaires were mailed in January with a 22 percent return, split roughly 50 50 between fulltime and parttime residents. Respondents valued community ties, with 40 percent learning of Wimberley from friends or family and over 30 percent drawn by people. The study notes caution on tourism and recommends restrained promotion plus community planning and cultural activities. The Mill and the Chamber receive mixed reactions, including concerns about a ten dollar membership fee. Continued next month.
