Rev J F Jordan A M, pastor of Pender Street M E Zion Church, is said to be holding his own and the church is in better condition than in ten years. The congregation supports his return and The Hesperian Club raised a sum for the church. Presiding Elder Gaskill led a successful quarterly meeting with 114 partaking of the Lord's Supper and $31.30 collected. The two churches plan organic unity, uniting colored Methodists into one body of about one million souls.
