Miss Mary White Nash of Louisburg was awarded 6000 in the North Carolina Supreme Court suit against Dr Verert A Royster of Raleigh for alleged malpractice after an operation. The jury deliberated 26 hours before a verdict in favor of Nash. trial had previously ended in a mistrial. Dr Royster’s lawyers planned an appeal.

White Way project approved by city Board of Aldermen

A coroner's jury found that Mrs. Frank Simpson aged 35 died from a pistol wound inflicted by J T Cornwell 38 who then shot himself in the head.
