Freddie Emil Dippel a Floresville resident died Sunday September 24 2000 at age 77 years 10 months 25 days Born October 29 1922 in Round Top he served in World War II earned a Purple Heart He retired from the Texas Highway Department and was active in the Floresville American Legion D A V and V F W He was survived by wife Celesta Dippel children Freddie Jr Frankie Faye Jorgensen and spouses grandchildren and great grandchildren Funeral services were held at First Lutheran Church Floresville with interment in Floresville City Cemetery.
