Falls City council adopts short term budget extension

Falls City council amid a looming budget year approved a resolution extending the 1999-2000 budget through 2000-1 to operate legally. Mayor Vi Malone said the move buys time for an official budget and allows property tax bills only if requirements are met, with a special meeting held Sept. 27 to resolve issues.
