District to SAWS We Dont Trust You on Carrizo Aquifer
Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District met SAWS to discuss Carrizo Aquifer use as drought insurance. SAWS engineers said they want a good neighbor role but models cannot predict draw down on wells in Wilson and Atascosa counties. A two foot draw down question awaits further study as ASR tests continue and up to 30000 acre feet yearly may be needed.

FELPS considers new surcharge as electricity costs rise
FELPS trustees approved a purchased power adjustment credit of 28.07 per 1 000 kilowatt hours but expect to retain charges if Floresville City Council approves. The change aims to fund rising generation costs with gas prices expected to lift summer bills while FELPS restructures rates set since 1988.
