Floresville updates say the Frank M Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home a 160 bed facility will open by early July with at least 150 staff including nurses clerical workers and groundskeepers Employment begins for some in June Applications from prospective residents are being accepted with priority for need Similar homes are planned in Big Spring Bonham and Temple The facility named for late U S Rep Frank M Tejeda will offer long term medical care including Alzheimer's therapy and is operated by a private contractor not by government authorities For more information contact Phil Thurman at 830 393 7352.
