Floresville aldermen tabled a motion to formally oppose the possible Cibolo Reservoir on Cibolo Creek watershed by a 3 to vote. The meeting also reviewed street condition reports and approved drive up window, warehouse inventory, and pool resurfacing projects.
About 170 residents pressed regional water planners on Cibolo Reservoir, aqui fer storage and Edwards Aquifer policies. Speakers urged voting rights and criticized plans while planners stressed regional aims and limited local say.
Wilson Memorial officials say they will not pursue expanding onto Pecan Park for now and are reassessing a relocation option. Two proposals were studied: renovate the current hospital with Pecan Park expansion at about 11 million dollars or purchase land on U S 181 near Floresville for a larger facility at about 12.5 million dollars. The board has not set a schedule and will seek public input before any decision.
