Floresville ISD names two new principals for 2024-25
Floresville ISD announces Holden Barrett will lead Floresville High School after two years at the middle school and previously serving as high school assistant principal. Jimmy Reily will become Floresville Middle School principal, bringing 30 years in education. Both start July 1 and will oversee transitions with current campus leaders.

Floresville Considers Splash Pad Grant Application
Council Finance Director Cynthia Sturm pegs splash pad cost at 1 million dollars. Ximenez Marroquin learned of a 30000 dollar National Association of Realtors grant via a friend at the San Antonio Board of Realtors. After council doubts about meeting June 30 deadline, a workshop was set for June 20 to review the grant and a special meeting to approve it. The motion passed 5-0.

At the June 13 Floresville City Council meeting the city announced the makeup of its boards and committees. Names are listed for the Floresville Economic Development Corp Floresville 4A Corp Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustments El Camino Trail Committee and the Convention Tourist and Visitor's Advisory Board. The three entities Floresville EDC Floresville 4A Corp and Floresville Chamber of Commerce each appoint one member from the advisory board’s other three members.
