La Vernia High School 1977 Graduation Ceremony Overview
The La Vernia High School class of 1977 graduated May 27 at 8 p m in the football stadium. Pastor Kurt Hartmann gave the invocation and benediction and received a plaque from seniors. Commencement speaker John B Williams of Montgomery Ward addressed 48 graduates. Merit awards went to Sam Adams Vicki Dennis Debbie Jenschke Shirley Chandler Debbie Von Minden Jimmy Dale and others. Scholarships honored include Texas Council of Church Related Colleges debbie Jenschke Lions Club debbie Jenschke and Richard Theiss with Trinity University. Victor Krejci presented diplomas. Kim Starkey led the recessional.
