Owls Relocated From Water Tower During Floresville Repairs
Six young barn owls were removed from the Hospital Boulevard water tower in Floresville after repairs began. The parents remained nearby to lure the fledglings into nearby trees as workers completed an $85,000 internal coating and top repairs. Officials and wildlife experts praised careful handling and may install a permanent artificial nest box near the site.
