FELPS advances substation project in Floresville area
FELPS trustees approved about 137000 in gear bids from firms in Bryan New Braunfels and San Antonio for a new substation south of Poth in Karnes County with in service target around mid January. The move aims to improve reliability for customers in Cestahowa Falls City Hobson and Kosciuszko while a temporary CPS facility was scrapped to save about 250000. A deregulation dispute over pass through charges totaling about 514000 yearly remains unresolved with CPS.
