Consultants identify clay soil water intrusion and weak bricks in the 128 year old Wilson County Courthouse as causes of movement. Tests by Thorn Graves Architects were shared with the commissioners on July 9. The meeting also covered a driveway fee hike and a temporary burn ban decision.

Two indicted in 2008 murder case in Wilson County
Wilson County grand jury indicted Agapito Rios and James Jimenez, both federal inmates, on charges tied to the 2008 killing of Ricardo Lopez de la Rosa Jr. Also indicted were Bobby Schroeder on aggravated robbery related counts and Carlos Barrera-Alvarado on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The National Weather Service confirmed a microburst storm near Kosciusko on May 10. An EF0 tornado touching down east of S.H. 123 near Pruski Service Station caused isolated damage along C.R. 252 with a 1/4 mile path and about 10 yard width.
