Railroad Commission approves mine area expansions in Texas
The Railroad Commission authorized Exxon Minerals to add about 123 acres to the Felder uranium mine in Live Oak County for seepage trenches with no mining on the annexed land. Conoco Inc. gained ~57 acres for the Zamzow uranium site in Karnes County, with 42 acres to be disturbed, including lands from abandoned spoil piles.
