Stockdale council approves subdivision ordinance and water hikes

Wilson County Stockdale city council on January 8 approved a long subdivision ordinance detailing four development categories and engineering standards for streets and utilities. The council also raised in town water and sewer rates and set filing fees for plats. A public hearing on the 2012 budget was scheduled for January 22 with a special meeting to follow.

Three Arrested in DQ Burglary Case in Floresville

Police arrested Daniel Herrera 17 Floresville on one burglary count after a Jan 8 break in at Dairy Queen on U S 181. Two 16 year old juveniles were charged with burglary of a building and released to parents. About $400 in coins and small bills were stolen from vending machines and the cash recovered at a G Street location.
