SAWS chief rules out Cibolo Reservoir push in local plan
San Antonio Water System head Mike Thuss said the Cibolo Reservoir project is feasible but unlikely to become viable unless the local community demands it. The 16,000 acre plan received no large reservoir recommendation as Region L advanced its 50 year water plan through 2050, with SAWS retirement slated for Jan. 31 and uncertain future on the regional panel.
