Kathleen Sowash joins Rep. Jim Crockett’s Austin office as Administrative Secretary. She earned a 1970 B A in Latin American studies at the University of Texas at Austin, did graduate work in bilingual education and ESL, and is a current UT Austin Business School student. Sowash has worked with Ciencia Interamericana, O A S publications, and Fulbright in Bogota. Born in Pennsylvania, she has spent over 18 years in Venezuela and Colombia and is fluent in Spanish and English. She will manage Crockett’s calendar, meetings, calls, and correspondence.

Decency Through Law to Host Speech by Sam Millsap in San Antonio
Sam Millsap, Bexar County District Attorney, will speak at the San Antonio Chapter of Citizens for Decency Through Law on February 25 at 7 30 p m in the Terrace Room of San Antonio Savings Headquarters 601 NW Loop 610 and San Pedro Avenue. The public is invited. CDL aims to raise awareness of pornography and television violence and works with police and officials to push stronger laws.
