Floresville Nursing Home Draws 300 Visitors in One Day

Floresville Nursing Home welcomed about 300 visitors in a single day on December 20 1983 with 256 entertainment visitors. Kindergarten students led by Allan Drozd arrived at 7 30 a m delivering Christmas carols and cards. FHA girls from Poth visited 11 a m to 1 p m singing carols reading to residents and decorating trees.

4-H Club Volunteers Bring Christmas Cheer to Flo Renville Home

On Wednesday a 75 member girls group led by advisor Shirley Lussy visited Flo Renville Home. They shared cookies and played piano during visiting hours. At 2 p.m. volunteers aided the regular games party. Later the Black Hills 4-H Club of 14 delivered Christmas songs. The next day 94 year old Sam Fitzgerald expressed enjoyment of the day and quiet sleep after a long visit.
