Petition challenges Falls City trash policy pushback
Falls City officials face a petition with about 120 signatures opposing a mandatory trash collection plan. Ice storm hits Wilson County with widespread outages
An icy winter storm arrived December 12, causing power outages for several hundred residents, with La Vernia the hardest hit as some households endured 24 hours or more without electricity. GVEC manager Marcus Pridgeon estimated about 8,000 people in Wilson and Guadalupe counties lost power at some point during the SEE Storm.
