County Fire Aid Settlement Reaches Agreement
Wilson County commissioners approve small changes to a financial assistance contract for ten volunteer fire departments. The deal ensures current funding levels with a 5 percent rise next year, though LaVernia receives more this year due to historic discrepancies. Also canceled the Dec 28 meeting and set a Jan 1 swearing-in ceremony and Jan 4 first meeting. A new chipper truck was accepted via a 50 000 grant through TNRCC and AACOG. Pruski honored for 16 years of service. John Olenick to succeed him.
