Community events calendar lists LVHS Band Concert at 7 PM in the Cafetorium with free admission in December. Also notes Christmas parties and programs across Floresville area including Atascosa County Republican Women and various church and 4-H activities through December 23.
Wilson County Employees host a Christmas party at the Showbarn on Saturday December 13 to aid the Wilson County Children's Center. Tickets include a barbecue dinner and dance for 7.50 with set ups and free hors d oeuvres from 6 30 to 7 30, dinner at 7 30 and dancing 9 to midnight. Call 393 6276 or 393 6106 for details.
Floresville sponsors a December 13 blood drive from 10 until 2 to help hospital patients during the holidays. Call Thomas Ortiz at 393-6346 or the South Texas Regional Blood Bank at 800-292-5534 for information.
The LaVernia PTO sets a December 16 meeting at 7 30 PM in LaVernia High Cafetorium with a third grade Christmas program. The community Christmas Choir performs December 18 at 7 30 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in LaVernia directed by Uri Richter. An EMS offering will be collected. Boy Scout Troop 137 hosts a Tamale Sale December 13 at 9 AM at Joe's Fruit Stand on Hwy 123 in Stockdale.
Floresville Chamber of Commerce and 4-H clubs sell Super Sale Coupon Books for 15 dollars offering about 400 dollars in goods and cash-off offers. Prizes include a 25 color TV and additional cash certificates with each coupon used. Wal-Mart coupons boost value with free oil and Coke cases plus five ninety six off a Unison Hotline phone.
