The LaVernia United Methodist Women host their annual Christmas Bazaar and White Elephant Sale on Saturday December 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 210 Bluebonnet Street. Proceeds benefit the LaJuana Curry Fund aiding medical and related expenses for LaJuana Curry and her family.

The Bexar County Mounted Patrol Wilson County Child Welfare Board and Canada Verde VFD sponsor a Christmas Trail Ride and Hay Ride on December 20 at 9 am departing from the Canada Verde fire department on FM 1303. A $10 rider fee includes breakfast and dinner. children under 12 receive a $5 gift. Awards honor youngest rider oldest rider and best decorated hay wagon. Sheriff Santa program aids families in Wilson County
The Wilson County Sheriff's Department seeks needy families for a holiday assistance drive. Call Don Shaw or Chris Ayala at 830-393-2535 with names. A two day toy drive runs Dec 6–7 at Floresville Walmart. Donations may be left at the Wilson County Criminal Justice Center. On Dec 4 7:30–9:30 p.m. a meeting occurs and on Dec 7 1–4 p.m. folk dances tour and a 1 p.m. exhibition tour. A concert titled Celebramos Joyous Villancicos from Latin America closes the events.
