Concrete Cemetery advances on platting and records project
In LA VERNIA the Concrete Cemetery Association met November 15 with about 25 members. Billie Zuehl led the session approving minutes and the treasurer’s report as plans move to plat the cemetery, with Dr. C E Scull III to contact surveyor H S Bettersworth. Shirley Grammer reported four volumes cataloging every monument and a corrected census ready to go online in early 1999 and noted a near completion of the Historic Texas Cemetery designation. FLORESVILLE and Wilson County Veterans Office noted service documents for Gerhardt E Knoll from Fort Sam Houston in 1942 and sought leads.
