FELPS board honors late Edward Pierdolla and welcomes his wife
Floresville Electric Light Power System trustees paid tribute with a resolution of respect for Edward Pierdolla who died last month and then welcomed his wife Adeline to fill his term on the board through December 31, 2001. The meeting also approved 386 in bad-debt write offs and a 12.55 per 1000 kWh purchased power adjustment as high gas prices push electricity costs.

Public Hearing on St Hedwig Subdivision Ordinance
About 50 residents attended Thursday's public hearing on a proposed subdivision ordinance for St Hedwig. With a full council present two questions arose, including from Marty Allen Wernle who asked the definition of subdivider. The council said Wernle would be a subdivider if he breaks up property to sell and urged selling the property in one piece. Mayor Dylla offered to relay questions to the council's lawyer and respond by phone with answers.
