Finley Consoliver Killed in Oil Barrel Accident

Finley Consoliver a Sabina welder was killed instantly at 1 45 pm when an oil barrel he was draining exploded after an acetylene torch flame ignited fumes. Coroner Dr John K Williams said the 62 year old, who had lived in Sabina, died from head and chest injuries. The body was taken to Littleton Funeral Home.

Miss Belle Gould of Henderson Texas says Latin is thriving with growing Junior Classical League enrollment. She notes 900 attendees at the Miami University convention, up from 478 and 547 at prior events, and mentions Torch, the league's official publication born from a small school paper.

Die Makers Agree To New Contract In Cincinnati Suburb

Production resumed today at the Electric Auto Lite plant in Evendale after a two week strike by 150 tool and die makers. The workers, members of the International Association of Machinists, agreed to a new one year contract. Plant officials asked employees to forego wage hikes for a year, saying the plant lost money for two years and that closing the plant might be the alternative.

A three man bomber crew perished when an Air Force B 47 bomber crashed and burned in a wheat field near Salina Kansas. The accident occurred today and is being investigated by base and local authorities.
